7th-8th June 2014
One of the first airshows in the display season, and with unrivalled viewing points over the sea – at eye-level, from Folkestone’s historical Leas area – the weekend will include two full days of flying displays, from world-famous display teams, ground displays, classic cars, outdoor shopping, sea displays, children’s entertainers, flight simulators, Armed Forces Village and Display Arena, community stages and all sorts of food and drinks to sample.
The flying displays will include the hugely sought after RAF Red Arrows, who are celebrating their 50th display season, and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, as well as helicopter displays, parachute regiments and fast jets, which are still to be announced.
Folkestone Airshow is a family weekend out, and free to attend; however, visitors are strongly advised to purchase park and ride tickets in advance, allowing them to park their cars at Folkestone Racecourse, and make the most of the regular coaches into Folkestone Town Centre, as there are 200,000 visitors expected over the weekend, and roads will be busy. Attracting visitors from all over England, and even from neighbouring France and Belgium, this year’s Folkestone Airshow will be unforgettable.
The event will also include a ticketed, live music event for the whole family. Open Air LIVE presents Australia-born Björn Again, performing the songs of ABBA and multi-instrumentalist Chris Andre, who will be performing on our stage on Folkestone Seafront. These performances will be followed by a firework spectacular, to finish the evening with a bang. This event will be held on Saturday 7th June, after the first day of flying displays at Folkestone Airshow. Discounted tickets for both parking and Open Air LIVE are on sale now! Please visit www.folkestoneairshow.com to purchase your tickets before they run out.
